“We will hunt you down,” Sinas threatens the Dacera case suspects
Philippine National Police Chief General Debold Sinas threatens the suspects in the Dacera’s alleged rape-slay case that authorities will hunt them down if they will not surrender.
11 names surfaced as suspects in the death of flight attendant Christine Dacera. The said suspects along with the victim had a party together in a hotel room and the morning after, the latter was just found lifeless in a bathtub.
With this, the companions of the Dacera at that time were accused of raping and slaying her after. There were also allegations that the suspects intoxicated her first with prohibited substance.
As the camp of the suspects is trying to defend their side, a statement from PNP Chief Sinas threatens to be hunting them down. “This is a fair warning. Surrender within 72 hours or we will hunt you down using force if necessary,” he said, based on the article from CNN Philippines.
He added that the authorities already know their identities and their families must turn them over to the police. Sinas also expressed that those who are trying to hide or help the suspects escape will be arrested also.
The PNP Chief also assured the family of Dacera that justice will be served. This statement of Sinas did not sit well with many netizens on Twitter.
They contradicted what he said regarding the measure of the police to hunt down to suspects. Some pointed out that arrest can’t be done if there is no warrant.
There were also those who pointed out that arrest could not be possible if there is no case filed.
A netizen pointed out that the 11 suspects were already condemned even though the whole story behind the death of Dacera was not yet revealed.
