Lady Calls Out Cavite LGU After Abusive Drivers Charges Unfair Rate and Violating Protocols
A concerned lady netizen calls out the attention of the Cavite government over the unfair rate of abusive drivers even though violating protocols.
As the outbreak of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) has reached the Philippines, the government has released safety guidelines to prevent the spread of the contagious disease. The guidelines prohibit mass gathering, physical distancing must be observed, wearing of face masks, and face shields.
Given guidelines must also be observed in public transportation vehicles. If drivers and operators failed to obey the given guidelines, the company will be charged according to the law set by “Bayanihan to Heal as One Act.”
On Facebook, a concerned lady netizen air sentiment online and calls out the attention of Cavite City local government over abusive public vehicle driver and conductor. Karen Andres Arandia shared an unpleasant experience in public transportation.

According to her post, she rides a bus from Tejero heading to SM Bacoor with a fare of P40, much higher than the previous P20 fare. However, safety protocols are not properly observed.
She exposed that the bus does not practice social distancing, which is 1 seat apart from the next passenger. The bus does not also follow the limited passenger counts to avoid jostling inside.
Karen air dismay that she paid a higher fare but felt unsafe because of the unobserved safety guidelines. As a result, she calls the attention of Cavite Governor Jonvic Remulla over these violations.
