PAGASA – ITCZ, Northeast Monsoon To Affect Parts Of PH This January 5, 2021

PAGASA – Here are the following latest updates from the state weather bureau PAGASA, on this day January 5, 2021 (Tuesday).

The early morning forecast from the state weather bureau says that the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will affect Mindanao, while the Northeast Monsoon or amihan will affect Northern and Central Luzon.

According to the bureau’s website, the ITCZ will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Caraga, Davao Region, SOCCSKSARGEN, Bangsamoro and Palawan. Possible flash floods or landslides may occur due to moderate to heavy rains.

Meanwhile, the northeast monsoon will bring cloudy skies with light rains over Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora, and Northern Quezon.

Amihan will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, rest of Central Luzon, and the rest of CALABARZON.

The rest of the country will face partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms. Possible flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.

Based on the report, for the wind speed forecast, Luzon will face moderate to strong winds that are moving in the northeast direction while facing moderate to rough coastal waters.

Visayas and Mindanao will face light to moderate winds that are moving in the east to northeast direction while facing slight to moderate coastal waters.
