Minor In General Santos City Died Due To Accidentally-Lit Fireworks
GENERAL SANTOS CITY – A minor, 13 years of age, was dead after suffering burns from accidentally-lit fireworks in General Santos City.

According to GMA News’ Balitambayan, the victim’s parents bought the kid luces and kuwitis to celebrate New Year.
The victim, along with another minor, 16 years of age, played with the lighter when it accidentally lit the said fireworks. This resulted with the minors injured
The fire was eventually extinguished with the aid of relatives and responding neighbors.
The two casualties were taken to the nearby hospital, but the younger minor died due to the severity of the burns.
The 16 year old minor sustained injuries from part of its back and is currently recovering.
Based on the report, the victim’s family made no further statement regarding the incident.
