PAGASA – PAGASA recently said that the tail-end of the frontal system will no longer directly affect the Philippines.

PAGASA

The state weather bureau said that the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) and the easterlies will prevail and bring scattered rain showers and isolated thunderstorms over Biliran, Leyte, Northern Samar, Samar, Eastern Samar, Southern Leyte, Cebu, Bohol, Negros Oriental, Siquijor, and Mindanao.

As mentioned previously, Quezon, Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, Davao Region and SOCCSKSARGEN will face cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to the easterlies.

The northeast monsoon will bring cloudy skies with light rains over Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region and Aurora; and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Ilocos Region and rest of Central Luzon. The weather system will bring no significant impact.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will face partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms. Possible flash floods or landslides may occur especially during severe thunderstorms.

Based on the report, a gale warning is in effect due to strong to gale force winds associated with the surge of the northeast monsoon.

The northern and eastern seaboards of Northern Luzon and western seaboards of Northern and Southern Luzon will face rough to very rough seas.

Fishing boats and other small sea vessels were advised to prevent from travelling out to sea as it is still risky over these waters.
