Is Aljur Abrenica a Kapuso again?
The guesting of actor Aljur Abrenica on Eat Bulaga‘s Bawal Judgmental segment last December 28, elicited speculations that he will be returning to GMA.
Aljur was the StarStruck 4 Ultimate Hunk and after winning in the Kapuso talent search in 2006, he was given several TV and movie projects. He was one of the famous Kapuso leading men and even had a loveteam with Kris Bernal.
Based on the article from PEP, an issue surfaced between the actor and GMA in 2014. It was said that Aljur wanted to end his contract with the Kapuso network as he cited various reasons. However, this was resolved in 2015.
When his contract ended in 2017, he was offered to be a part of the Kapamilya series Ang Probinsyano. After that, he did several projects in ABS-CBN.
Amid the franchise renewal issue that the Kapamilya network faced, Aljur Abrenica’s comment on this received criticism. “It’s beyond me. Ibig kong sabihin, their fight is their fight,” he said even though he is pro-franchise.
His recent guesting on the longest-running noontime show prompted speculations that he is set to come back to his former home network.
This is considered as his first guesting on GMA after three years. Talent manager Leo Dominguez, who is also the manager of Janine Gutierrez who will be joining ABS-CBN next year, shared this post about Aljur’s Eat Bulaga guesting.
