Motorcycle Rider Killed After Rolled Over By Truck In Quezon City
QUEZON CITY – A motorcycle rider was killed after getting rolled over by a 12-wheeler truck in Commonwealth Avenue, Quezon City.
The incident occurred in the said area on Monday evening, according to a report from ABS-CBN News.
The fatality was identified via his identification card as Reymond Uayan, according to the city’s Task Force Disiplina.
The driver of the 12-wheeler truck, identified as Darwin Barilla, said that he was headed to Antipolo City from Commonwealth Avenue when he noticed something that struck on the rear of his vehicle.
This was followed by motorists honking the truck driver to alert him that the victim was under his truck.
Witnesses testified that the fatality was wobbling before he hit the truck. This caused the victim to receive severe injuries from the head.
The rider was taken to the hospital but was unable to make it alive, according to the report.
Barilla stressed that he was driving slow before the incident occurred. However, the city Traffic Station 5 is conducting further investigation regarding the matter.
As for the driver, he is currently under the custody of the local city traffic authorities as of the moment.
