Quezon City Task Force Disiplina Rescues Street Dwellers

QUEZON CITY – Street dwellers were recently rescued by operatives from the Quezon City Task Force Disiplina in several barangays on Thursday.

Among the people rescued by authorities include those on the sidewalk in Barangay Pinyahan and Scout area. The dwellers were taken aboard a truck and van. Their belongings were also taken as well.

There were also children who were found crying but authorities clarified that they were not arrested.

The city Task Force Disiplina head Ani Rannie Ludovica said that the dwellers were taken back to their hoe provinces. For those who have no place to live, they will be taken to shelter.

Based on the report, the parents will be helped and trained to work or start a business.

The city government said that they are worrying that the people will be infected with COVID-19, especially those who do not have a face mask or shield.
