Anthony Taberna is facing another challenge
Journalist Anthony Taberna revealed that he and his family have faced another recent “dagok” amid the battle of his daughter against leukemia.
Ka Tunying, as what he is fondly called in the broadcast industry, and his wife opened up about the condition of their daughter Zoey Taberna. Despite this struggle, the young lady has remained positive.
However, while dealing with this aspect of their lives, the family of Anthony was once again faced with another problem. In a recent guesting on Magandang Buhay, the journalist talked about a recent incident.
Talking to morning talk show host Karla Estrada, Jolina Magdangal, and Melai Cantiveros, Anthony Taberna revealed that the person who was handling their business took away their money.
“Nadiskubre namin two weeks o three weeks ago lamang na kami pala ay ninanakawan ng taong pinagtitiwalaan namin dito sa kumpanya,” he revealed.
This added to their struggle as they are dealing with Zoey’s leukemia which is also a difficult thing to handle.
“Eh sabi ko napakahirap naman ‘yung ganung sitwasyon at hindi maliit na halaga ‘yung kinuha sa kumpanya. Kumbaga kumita ka ng konti sa pagtitinda mo ng tinapay, iniipon mo ‘yon tapos kukuhain lang ng ibang tao,” he added.
Ka Tunying admitted that what happened really pained them. In line with this problem, the journalist said that they planning to do a legal action. As the person who Anthony Taberna trusted took a huge amount of money, there is a possibility that they will close their business if the legal remedy will not turn out well.
“Tinitingnan din namin ang pananagutan ng bangko, kasi malaking halaga, sabi ko nga kung hindi namin ito mareremedyuhan ngayon, pinagtapat namin sa mga manager namin na maghanda na sila sa pagsasara ng aming kumpanya,” he said.
