According to the couple, it felt good that they have things just between them but they also feel happy that the people are happy for them now that the secret is out.
One of those who is very happy for the engagement of Luis Manzano and Jessy Mendiola is Lucky’s mother, Batangas 6th District Rep. Vilma Santos-Recto. In an interview with ABS-CBN’s MJ Felipe, the actress-turned-politician shared that her son sent her a photo showing him pointing to the ring worn by Jessy.
“Nakita ko, yung mahal niya talaga si Lucky. Mahal niya ang anak ko. Isa sa mga na appreciate ko she’s a very prayerful person, nagro-rosary iyan everyday,” the Star for All Season said.
Based on the report, Vilma Santos also found out that Jessy Mendiola is close to her family. She admitted that she has waited so long for her son to settle down as she also wants him to enjoy having a family.
“Lagi ‘kong sinasabi noon kay Lucky, ‘You’re not getting any younger’. Gusto ko ma enjoy niya rin ang family life,” she said.
