Details About POEA Job Fair Offering 2,000 Overseas Jobs
POEA JOB FAIR – Around 2,000 overseas jobs are open for application from December 10-11, 2020 through the job fair of the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration.
The COVID-19 pandemic brought a lot of hardships to the people. In the Philippines which is one of the over 200 countries and territories that logged cases of the coronavirus disease, many people lost their jobs amid the crisis.
A lot of businesses were not able to cope with the demands of the COVID-19 pandemic. They had to close several times most especially those that are not on the field of “essentials”. Everyone has to cooperate to curb the spread of the disease.
For several months, some businesses only incurred expenses without income. It forced them to close and many employees lost their jobs as well.

A lot of people working overseas were also not able to return abroad due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Traveling is not easy most especially between countries.
Due to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, many people are financially struggling. A lot of breadwinners of their family have no jobs now.
To help the people, the Philippine Overseas Filipino Workers opened a POEA job fair that offers around 2,000 jobs abroad. The COVID-19 threat is still present but a lot of establishment are preparing now amid the hope that a vaccine will put an end to the pandemic soon.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the POEA job fair is from December 10-11, 2020. The jobs offered are land-based and can be applied for through 15 licensed recruitment agencies
According to the report, POEA administrator Bernard Olalia said that most of the jobs offered are factory jobs and as well as for household workers. Health workers are not allowed to apply for the overseas job offers.
POEA is set to open the job fair at 10:00 a.m. today, December 10, 2020. Just go to the POEA website and register.
