Meanwhile, according to a report from CNN, the nuclear scientist was shot using a remote-controlled machine gun operating from another car. This ties into initial reports that the scientist was slain using satellite-guided devices.

Throughout the controversy, Iran had continuously emphasized that its nuclear program was merely used for peaceful purposes. However, countries such as Israel and Tehran accused Iran of seeking to develop a nuclear bomb.

Following the incident, top Iranian officials blamed Israel for the attack despite having no evidence gathered yet. Additionally, Supereme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and others vowed revenge for the death of their top scientist.

But, the Israeli government had no comments regarding the Iranian Officials’ recent statements. Instead, the Israeli Minister of Settlement Affairs Tzachi Hanegbi said they had “no idea” who assassinated the nuclear scientist. Instead, he said that it was “very embarrassing for Iran”.
