Grade 9 Student Attends Online Class while Selling on the Street Goes Viral

A grade 9 student earned praise online after spotted attending online class amid his selling of assorted fruits beside the street.

In a Facebook post of a netizen Benj Gonzales, he shared a hardworking student selling fruit on the street while studying as he was impressed. According to his post, he went to a market in Valenzuela recently.

His checklist includes fruits for his pregnant wife but they are very expensive. So as a result, Gonzales decided to buy the listed fruits outside of the market to lessen his expenses.

“Ang mahal ng prutas sa loob ng market [kaya] naisipan kong bumili na lang sa labas, sa mga nasa kariton,” he wrote.

He said he did not make a mistake in his decision because apart from being cheaper outside, he also met the Grade 9 student from Valenzuela National High School who was then attending online classes.

“Na-curious ako kung bakit siya may laptop. Sabi niya nag-oonline classes siya. Nakita ko rin ‘yong mga module niyang marami at makapal,” he added.

Grade 9 Student Selling

The student was identified as Mike. Gonzales shared that Mike uses his cellphone as a hotspot to connect his laptop to the Internet. Gonzales was amazed and impressed because amidst her job for living he never neglects his studies.

“Sa gitna ng pandemic at mga nangyayaring hindi maganda sa mundo ngayon dahil sa pagtaas ng mga bilihin at kahirapan, ito pa rin si Mike patuloy na nagpupursige, nagsusumikap, at nag-aaral habang nagtitinda sa gitna ng taas ng araw,” said Gonzales.

Gonzales is said to be sure that Mike will go far in life. Just prayer and diligence, you can do that, he advised the student. The uploader requested that Mike’s diligence be learned by many.
