Here’s take of Dennis Padilla after his eldest daughter married a woman in United States.
DENNIS PADILLA – Famous actor and comedian Dennis Padilla expresses feelings after his eldest daughter got married to female partner.
Monina Gatus is Dennis Padilla’s first wife which is prior to his relationship with Marjorie Barretto. Padilla and Gatus have a daughter, Diane Baldivia, who is now 30 years old. And now, after the releasing of his film “Pakboys: Takusa” trailer, and earn criticism, it prompted him to explain that his daughter is a member of the community and to disrespect them would be the same as disrespecting his daughter.
He then revealed that Diane, his eldest, is actually married already to her female partner. The comedian revealed, “My daughter is married to a woman in the States. My eldest daughter Diane, who is 30 years old, is married to Katx who is also a woman. And I respect them because mahal ng anak ko, e.”
Accordingly, his eldest got married last September 2019 in California and he has nothing but happiness for them. He explained further as he defended his film against the critical comment it received, “Ako pa ba ang babastos sa LGBTQ, e ‘yung daughter ko, [ang] asawa, babae? Legally married sila.”
Meanwhile, the film “Pakboy” is one of the official entries of Metro Manila Film Festival 2020 produced by Star Cinema. The trailer has drawn criticisms due to its humor which is based on womanizing and other “macho” stereotypes. It was perceived by others as “toxic masculinity” and transphobia.
