PAGASA – TEFS, LPA To Bring Scattered Rains Over Parts Of PH This December 2, 2020

PAGASA – Here are the following latest updates from the state weather bureau PAGASA, on this day December 2, 2020 (Wednesday).

The early morning forecast from the state weather bureau says that a Low Pressure Area (LPA) was spotted near eastern Samar while the Tail-end of a Frontal System and the northeast monsoon or Amihan will affect parts of Luzon on this day.

According to a report from GMA News, the LPA was last spotted at about 100 kilometers east of Borongan City in Eastern Samar.

The Tail-end of a Frontal System will be affecting the eastern section of Southern Luzon while the northeast monsoon will be affecting the rest of Luzon.

The said weather system, along with the LPA, will also bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Metro Manila, Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Central Luzon, CALABARZON, Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas and the provinces of Mindoro, Marinduque and Romblon.

The bureau warned that flash floods or landslides may occur in these areas during moderate to at times heavy rains.

The northeast monsoon will bring light to moderate rains over Ilocos Region. Again, the bureau warned that flash floods or landslides may occur in these areas during moderate to at times heavy rains.

The rest of the country will face partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms. Flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.

Based on the report, for the wind speed forecast Luzon and Visayas will face moderate to strong winds that are moving in the northeast to northwest direction while facing moderate to rough coastal waters.

Mindanao will face light to moderate winds that are moving in the northwest to southwest direction while facing slight to moderate coastal waters.
