Singer April Boy Regino passed away at the age of 51 and here are his health conditions before his death.

April Boy was known in the music industry because of his easy-to-sing-with songs that immediately captured the hearts of the “masa”. He was also known for his trademark “porma” with his baseball cap.

One of the things that he will be remembered was that he used to give away baseball caps during his performances. On Sunday, the online community were shocked when his brother Vingo Regino announced that April Boy Regino has already died.

The Facebook post announcing the passing away of the OPM singer did not divulge the details of his death. However, based on the article from GMA Network, here are the past medical conditions of April Boy.

In 2009, the late singer was diagnosed with prostate cancer. He was living in the U.S. back then. He announced that he was already cancer-free in 2013.

The singer battled the illness for several years. Two years after that, April Boy revealed that he was suffering from diabetic retinopathy. This is a condition in which a person can be blind due to diabetes.

Around the same time, the late singer found a new hope with his music as he signed a contract with GMA Records to continue his music career.

However, in 2016, he revealed that his left eye has become completely blind while the right eye can only see some light. Because of this condition his music stint became limited. Based on the article, April Boy Regino was manager a business with his son JC.
