Tuguegarao Residents Left Their Homes Due To Nonstop Rains, Which Cause Flooding

The Tuguegarao residents have evacuated and flee from their homes after the nonstop rains cause flooding in the area.

On Saturday (November 28, 2020), Coreshelter, Barangay Annafunan East in Tuguegarao has experienced flooding due to the spontaneous rains brought by the tail-end of a cold front as of 8:30 am.

Around 39 families have already flee from their respective houses as the ankle-deep floods started to spread over the area. The affected residents have evacuated at the Annafunan East Evacuation Center.

Sangguniang Kabataan chairman Gerald Valdez continue to implement preemptive evacuation to ensure the safety of the resident. The provincial road at Annafunan East going to Linao and Atulayan are impassable due to the flood.

Earlier, NIA-MRIIS warned the Northern Luzon residents of possible flooding after Magat Dam discharged excess waters.

Last week, Cagayan and Isabela experienced severe flooding due to the effects of Typhoon Ulysses and after Magat Dam discharged excess water. The residents are blaming the management of Magat Dam due to the flooding incident.
