Slovenian Man Hides Mother's Body While Still Getting Her Pension

Authorities discovered dead body of old woman hid by Slovenian man for years while he still gets her pension.

SLOVENIAN MAN – Ljubljana’s police department reported that a Slovenian man has been hiding his mother’s dead body while still getting her pension.

A 67-year-old man from Ljubljana has been arrested by the authorities for apparently hiding the dead body of his mother for years and he’s accordingly lived with it for years as suggested by other media reports. He was charged with multiple counts of crime as per report released on Monday.

His mother would have been 97 years old by now but he hid her body in the apartment and continued collecting her pension for years. To hide such, he prevented their other family to see or visit his mother by saying that she doesn’t want to see them.

It’s been just last week that the police received complaints about the missing woman and upon investigation and finally entering the apartment, the dead body has been discovered which has been actually going on for years already. And during the entire time that he’s been hiding her body, he still continued collecting her pension.

He’s been charged with abuse of a corpse where he can be imprisoned for up to two years, negligent homicide which has a maximum sentence of five years, and fraud. According to Manila Bulletin, police spokesman Tomaz Tomazevic said, “Police found the woman’s dead body in a Ljubljana apartment… her death is estimated to have happened years ago.”

Theo cause of death is yet to be discovered. Accordingly, the woman has been dead for six years while the family claims they saw her last 2011.
