Nicole Scherzinger sings Pinoy love song
Singer-dancer Nicole Scherzinger sang the Pinoy love song ‘Pangako‘ and the singer-composer of this, Ogie Alcasid, reacted to this.
Nicole is the leader of the all-female pop group Pussycat Dolls. She is among international artists with Filipino blood. In her recent Instagram post, she shared a sort of teaser with a collaboration project.
“I really hope that this collaboration makes my Filipino fans proud!” she wrote. The singer said that it has been her dream to honor her heritage. This opportunity came to her now and she is thankful to her friend and music director Troy Laureta.
“This was my first time singing in Tagalog (Thank u so much @cheesyfbaby sis for all your help!) and I hope you all enjoy it as much as I loved singing it from all my heart to yours,” Nicole Scherzinger added.
She also announced that this is not available on all music streaming platforms.
Ogie Alcasid reposted this post of the international singer. The OPM icon thanked Nichole Scherzinger for singing a Filipino song. “Much respect and admiration. You sang our song so beautifully!!” he added. Ogie also congratulated Troy Laureta on this project.
Pinoy music fans expressed delight upon knowing this project collaboration of Nichole who never forgets her roots. Some netizens also commended how she sang the song.
The OPM singer first released the song Pangako in 1991 under OctoArts International. It was part of his album titled Pagkakataon. The said song is just one of the hit songs that Ogie sang and composed over the years. Several artists in the Philippines have done their covers of this song.
