JV Ejercito is calling PRRD out for this issue
Politician JV Ejercito posted about “wangwang” and he is calling out the attention of President Rodrigo Duterte regarding this matter.
The “wangwang” was first publicly prohibited by former President Noynoy Aquino. In his speech after he assumed the presidency, he specifically said that the sound of a siren should not be used in order to give way for government officials.

For the longest time in the Philippines, the siren has become an instrument for VIPs or officials of the government to avoid the heavy traffic as vehicles are giving way for their cars.
In a report of ABS-CBN in 2018, President Duterte expressed that the “no wangwang” policy of PNoy will also be implemented in his term. “Sabi nila bumabalik ang siren. There’s an order, kay Aquino pa ‘yan. I’d like to maintain that policy,” the Chief Executive said.

However, in a recent Twitter post of JV Ejercito, apparently, this problem is still occurring. “Proliferation of blinkers & sirens very noticeable these days. Both cars and motorcycles. Dami rin convoy. From what I know only the top 4 officials plus police, fire and ambulance are allowed legally to use those equipment,” he stated in his post.
The politician also stressed that “Wangwang is definitely back!” Then, he said, “PRRD should stop this.”

This post of JV Ejercito received a comment from her friend Senator Sherwin Gatchalian. “Wang-wang mentality Bro. Mga akala mo kung sino sila. Feeling entitled,” the lawmaker said. Ejercito agreed that there are indeed people who felt that they are more entitled than other people.

Several netizens who commented on the post of Ejercito also agreed with what he said and slammed those officials who are still doing the “wangwang”.
