AirAsia To Resume Flights To Bohol Starting December 1

AIRASIA – AirAsia Philippines announced that it will resume flights between Manila and Bohol province starting December 1.

This is in an effort to restore its flight network amid the COVID-19 pandemic, according to a report from Inquirer.

The airlines announced four weekly flights on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday from December 1 to 15 and will gradually upgrade to daily flights to December 16 to 31.

“We are pleased to be able to reopen our services to and from Bohol for both essential and leisure travelers,”

“We hope that the resumption of connectivity between both regions will further assist local businesses and enterpri­ses in Bohol. AirAsia will continue to support the national and local governments in their efforts to jump-start the tra­vel and tourism industries in the Philippines,”

It added that it would serve locally stranded individuals and returning overseas Filipinos as well as tourists.

Tourists are required to show a negative RT-PCR or reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction which is to be taken within 72 hours of the departure date.

They are also required to submit an online registration form at the website (tourism.bohol.gov.ph) to receive a personal QR code.

Visitors are also required to show booking confirmation details for hotels or resorts located in the municipalities of Panglao or Dauis. It must come with an Ultimate Bohol Experience seal or Certificate of Authority to Ope­rate, based on the report.

For leisure travels, it will be limited to guests attending meetings, weddings, conventions, exhibits and other similar celebrations with at least six attendees from outside Bohol.

Locally stranded individuals and and returning Filipinos from overseas are required to show medical certificate issued by a licensed physician, travel clearance issued by the Joint Task Force Covid Shield and certificate of acceptance from the receiving local government unit.
