Reaction of Vice Pres. Robredo on Pres. Duterte’s Remarks
ROBREDO – Vice President Leni Robredo reacted to the tirades of Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte over the response amid the onslaught of Typhoon Ulysses.
A lot of Filipinos are currently in need of help now following the wrath of Typhoon Ulysses. Many areas hit by Ulysses were just recovering from Rolly when it brought massive rains that triggered flood.
Catanduanes was faced with landslide and flood amid the onslaught of Typhoon Ulysses. In Rizal, residents went up their rooftops to get away from the increasing water level.
The same scenario took place in Marikina and Cagayan. Many residents climbed their rooftops as the water level greatly increased amid the onslaught of Ulysses.

Following the onslaught of Typhoon Ulysses, in his latest national address, Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte slammed Vice Pres. Leni Robredo. Seemingly, the President is accusing the VP of the spread of questions asking his whereabouts amid the onslaught of the tropical storm.
Pres. Duterte told the 2nd top official of the government that the military was deployed two days before the typhoon struck Luzon. He also stressed that he was awake then attending the Summit and that he is a night person.
“Kung sabihin ko tuloy sayo, what time did you go home? Ikaw, noong gabi, anong oras ka umuwi? Isang bahay ka lang ba, dalawang bahay?” the President said.
Vice Pres. Robredo reacted to the tirades of Pres. Duterte. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, she said that they she was doing what she felt is her job.
“Eto po yung ginagawa namin gabi gabi, nagpupuyat ilang linggo na para, araw-araw, may madala lang na tulong sa mga nangangailangan,” the Vice President said.
Based on the report, Vice Pres. Robredo also clarified that she never asked where is the President. According to her, she just called Palace’s counsel Salvador Panelo over the false reports that she used the government plane to deliver relief goods.
The Vice President stressed that in times of crisis now, all help must be welcome. She also expressed that it is not a contest on who will come first, instead, everyone must help each other for the country.
