Malacañang Palace Releases Guidelines for Motorcycle Taxis Prior to Resumption of Operations
The Malacañang Palace has issued the guidelines for the resumption of the motorcycle taxis or ride-hailing services.
On Tuesday (November 10, 2020), the Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque outlines the guidelines released by the inter-agency task force for the resumption of motorcycle taxis operation.
IATF ordered the Department of Transportation to implement the health guidelines to prevent the further spread of the coronavirus disease in the country. Both riders and passengers are required to obey the safety measures.
Motorcycle taxi drivers should be in good health condition, wear protective gears, reflectorized vest, and use their own helmet with full face visor. They should also wear a face mask at all times, submit body temperature, and fill up health declaration for before taking rides.
Both drivers and passengers are required to sanitize their hands prior to taking rides. Riders are also advised to use motorcycle with no modified parts, install NTF approve barrier, and to disinfect riding apparels after the ride.
Motorcycle rider are allowed to refuse the passengers who were under the influence of alcohol, and drugs, PWD, children, pregnant women, and individuals who are non-compliant to the health protocols.

Meanwhile, passengers are required to wear protective gear, own helmet with full face visor, face mask, sit front face, and other guidelines similar to what given to the riders.
