Prisoner Escapes Custody After Sneezing On Police

PRISONER ESCAPES AFTER SNEEZING – A drug suspect made an unlikely escape from custody possible thanks to sneezing.

Surely, this is one of the oddest ways to escape from the police. However, due to the coronavirus, it does place things into perspective. According to reports, the suspect had shown symptoms of COVID-19.

The suspect was known as Teofilo Doctolero Lopez, from San Isidro, Agoo town. As he was escorted by police for a medical checkup at La Union Medical Center, he removed his mask and coughed heavily on Pat. Ronald Macalino’s face.

This then caused the police escort to stop and disinfect themselves in fear of potentially catching the coronavirus. As the vehicle stopped, Lopez took the opportunity to jump and flee to freedom. Meanwhile, Macalino was still washing his face and hands.

According to a report from Philstar, Lopez was arrested for pushing drugs last Saturday. Unfortunately, Macalino tried to chase Lopez but was unable to catchup to the sneaky drug dealer. Following the incident, Ilocos region police director Rodolfo Azurin promised to track down the suspect and finally take him to justice.
