Ina Feleo explained her viral scene in ‘Daddy’s Gurl’
Actress Ina Feleo and director Chris Martinez of the Kapuso sitcom Daddy’s Gurl reacted to the viral ghost with face shield scene.
For the Halloween episode of the sitcom that features Vic Sotto, Maine Mendoza, Wally Bayola, and Oyo Sotto, Ina played the role of a ghost. the screenshots of her scene where she was seen wearing a face shield circulated on social media.
The said scene went viral as people laughed because of the perception that it was not noticed by the production. However, based on the article from GMA Entertainment, Ina Feleo stressed that it was not a mistake on the part of the production team.
The actress said that it was part of the skit. “Joke siya na pati multo ngayon nagfe-face shield na rin,” she said. Amid the pandemic, the wearing of face shield has become part of the new normal.
“‘Yung una kong eksena nakabelo tapos parang makikita ako nu’ng character ni Wally, ‘tapos sasabihin niya, ‘Ano ‘yan hindi sapat na proteksyon ‘yang kulambo. E, multo ako. Parang nakakakita kasi siya ng multo. So, bibigyan niya ‘ko ng face shield, ‘tapos isusuot ko na ‘yung face shield,” the actress added.
She added that it was a way to show that all the talents are safe on the set that it was a comedy show and so the scene was used in line with new normal.
The director of the sitcom also reacted to this through his Instagram post. Direk Chris Martinez shared the screenshot of the post that went viral with this caption:
“Ina Feleo’s ghost with a face shield role goes viral [from last night’s #DaddysGurl ep]. An image that got people talking about topics ranging from paranormal and (more importantly) our industry’s safety protocols New normal #absurdity at its finest”
