PAGASA – Here are the following latest updates from the state weather bureau PAGASA, on this day October 30, 2020 (Friday).
The early morning forecast from the state weather bureau says that the Trough of Typhoon Rolly will face cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Visayas, Bicol Region, Northern Mindanao and Caraga.
According to GMA News, Typhoon Rolly was last spotted at about 1,195 kilometers east of Central Luzon, it is packed with maximum sustained winds of 140 kilometers per hour and gusts of up to 170 kilometers per hour. It is moving westward at 20 kilometers per hour.
Batanes and Cagayan will face cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms due to the northeasterly Surface Windflow. Flash floods and landslides during severe thunderstorms.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will face partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms. Flash floods and landslides may occur especially during severe thunderstorms.
Based on the report, the bureau is also monitoring Tropical Storm Atsani, which is outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility at 2,320 kilometers east of Mindanao.
Atsani is packed with maximum sustained winds of 65 kilometers per hour and gusts of up to 80 kilometers per hour. It is moving north northwestward at 20 kilometers per hour.
For the wind speed forecast. Luzon will face moderate to strong winds that are moving northeastward while facing moderate to rough coastal waters.
The rest of the country will face moderate to rough winds that are moving in the northeast to northwest direction while facing moderate to rough coastal waters.
