Manila Local Government Offers Installation of Drive-thru RFID on Weekend

Manila Mayor Isko Moreno offers mass drive-thru Easytrip RFID installation to get rid of the long queue at the expressway toll gates

This, in support of the Department of Transportation (DOTr), to make toll fee payment transactions cashless and contactless on expressways. Easytrip RFID stickers are available at Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation-operated expressways NLEX, Cavitex, CALAX, and SCTEX.

This is to help reduce the length of the queue of vehicles installing RFID stickers at installation sites at toll gates. Cashless and contactless transactions on expressways are scheduled to start on November 2, 2020, but many more vehicles do not have RFID stickers so it will be extended until December 1.

The drive-thru RFID installation offered by Isko will be held for two days at Kartilya ng Katipunan next to Manila City Hall – on Saturday, October 31, and Sunday, November 1 – from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

“Mayroon pong magaganap na drive-thru installation ibig sabihin mababawasan natin yung mahahabang pila sa mga toll gate na nabanggit at magaganap dito sa Kartilya sa may park,” said Isko.

“Kailan po? October 31, Saturday hanggang November 1. 9 A.M to 6 P.M. For class 1 vehicles only like cars, SUV and passenger vans, kasi hindi naman po namin kakayanin ‘yung truck…. Mahirap po dito kumambiyada,” he added.

The mass drive-thru RFID installation is only open to Class1 vehicles such as cars, sports utility vehicles, and passenger vans. No documents to bring. All you have to do is bring P200 for the initial RFID load. RFID stickers claimers are also required to wear face masks and face shields.
