PAGASA – Here are the following latest updates from the state weather bureau PAGASA, on this day October 29, 2020 (Thursday).

The latest update from the state weather bureau says that the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will be affecting Extreme Northern Luzon on this day.

According to GMA News, the weather bureau is also monitoring a tropical cyclone, which is currently outside the Philippine Area of Responsbility (PAR).

The tropical storm, internationally called Goni, was last spotted at about 1,705 kilometers east of central Luzon with maximum sustained winds of 65 kilometers per hour and gusts of up to 80 kilometers per hour. It is moving westward at the speed of 10 kilometers per hour.

Caraga and the Davao Region will face cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms brought about by the ITCZ. Possible flash floods or landslides may occur during moderate to at times heavy rains.

Ilocos Norte, Apayao, Batanes, and Cagayan including Babuyan Islands will face cloudy skies with scattered rains due to the Northeasterly Surface Windflow. Flash floods or landslides may occur during during severe thunderstorms.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will face partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms with. Flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.

Based on the report, for the wind speed forecast, Luzon will face moderate to strong wind that are moving in the northeast to east direction while facing moderate to rough

Visayas and Mindanao will face light to moderate winds that are moving in the northeast to north direction while facing slight to moderate coastal waters.
