Rene Abelardo, Freelance Makeup Artist Makes Handcrafted Halloween Masks
A freelance makeup artist named Rene Abelardo and his kids are now making handcrafted masks for the upcoming Halloween season.
In the Philippines, most people were used to observe the All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day every November. They were also holding Halloween parties wearing scary costumes and cooking sweet foods.
Many stores and shops are selling creepy costumes and scary masks during Halloween to earn money as well as a part of the Filipino culture and tradition.
Rene Abelardo who is a prosthetic makeup artist were creating handcrafted character masks, which can be also worn on top of face masks. He is selling the creative face masks along San Pedro, Laguna.
The artist has created a new design, which is his tribute for the Filipino boxing champion Senator Manny Pacquiao. His other designs are Jack Nicholson’s Joker, Ork, Oni mask, and other characters.
The price of the character masks are ranging from P700 to P1,000. The masks were little bit pricy but interested customers could avail if they want one.
