Here’s what MJ Lastimosa said about the Miss Universe PH 2020 issue
Miss Universe Philippine 2014 MJ Lastimosa echoed Miss Universe 2011 3rd runner-up Shamcey Supsup’s statement regarding Miss Universe PH 2020 issue.
She threatened o reveal the “truth”. Following that Shamcey, who is now the Director of Miss Universe Philippines Organization shared a post stating the quality of a “true queen” and that is accepting defeat.
However, Sandra appeared to have answered that statement of the pageant director. She stressed that “real queens play fair don’t cheat”. With this, some netizens concluded that she just felt bitter towards the result of the pageant.
In line with the Miss Universe PH 2020 issue, MJ Lastimosa also shared a piece of her mind. Through her Twitter post, she echoed the statement of Shamcey Supsup.
“BBP2012 taught me my greatest pageant lesson in life. A true queen is someone who can accept defeat and rise above it. A crown doesn’t define us, we define it. This is not the end but only the beginning for our #MissUniversePhilippines girls. Congratulations everyone,” MJ wrote.
This garnered mixed reactions from netizens. Some supported her statement while there were those who expressed that they are giving their support to Sandra Lemonon regarding “justice”.
Following that tweet of MJ, she also stressed in another tweet that she promoted positivity.
“Basta ako I lost my voice cheering for the ladies. I love supporting our pinay beauty queens. Aren’t we here to empower each other, to inspire others? To uplift one another? If we refuse to do so then who will? May pandemic pa guys kalma na. Let’s choose kindness above all,” the beauty queen said.
Meanwhile, Rabiya Mateo has spoken about the Miss Universe PH 2020 issue. She addressed those who are questioning her credibility to win the crown.
