Kapamilya Channel To Air in Cignal Channel 22
KAPAMILYA CHANNEL – The ABS-CBN shows and programs can now be viewed in Cignal and several other satellite TV channels.
It is more than four months ago when the ABS-CBN heed the call of the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) and placed its broadcast operation off air. The body released a Cease and Desist Order against the network.
The NTC order was over the expired franchise of the Kapamilya network. The network bid for a fresh 25-year franchise to the House of Representatives. Thirteen hearings were held to discuss the issues surrounding the network.
Last July 10, the franchise bid of ABS-CBN was given verdict. With a 70-11 voting result, the network’s bid for a fresh 25-year franchise was junked by the House Franchise Committee.
Massive work retrenchments took place after the junking of the ABS-CBN franchise bid. Until now, the Kapamilya network has not obtained a franchise to operate on free TV.

Currently, the Kapamilya programs and shows can be seen in other satellite TV channels. Through a post on ABS-CBN PR, it announced that it will be available in Cignal channel 22.
The Kapamilya channel on Cignal will begin airing this weekend and TV series like Walang Hanggang Paalam, Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin, and programs such as It’s Showtime, I Can See Your Voice, MMK, and Paano Kita Mapapasalamatan.
Based on the post, the Kapamilya channel can also be viewed in SKYcable channel 8 in SD and channel 167 in HD, Cablelink channel 8, A2Z channel 11 analog TV, and GSAT Direct TV channel 22.
Outside the country, the Kapamilya shows and programs can be viewed in The Filipino Channel in Cable or IPTV.
