LTO Extends Driver’s License Validity Until December 31
LTO EXTENDS DRIVER’S LICENSE VALIDITY ā The Land Transportation Office announced an extension of driver’s license validity for ages 17-21 and 60-65 until December 31.
This was due to the age groups being prohibited from going outside due to quarantine restrictions. Since March, individuals below 21 and above 60 years old were not allowed to go outside.

As such, many with driver’s license were unable to renew their validity. But, as the number of cases lower in major areas in the Philippines, quarantine restrictions were being lifted as well. Because of this, certain age groups are now allowed outside.
Additionally, during an interview on TeleRadyo, LTO chief Edgar GalvanteĀ said the registration of vehicles ending in 9 and 0 were also extended until December 31.
Meanwhile, when it comes to accommodation for license validation, Galvante emphasized that senior citizens would be given priority. Along with this, the LTO chief said that those who are able to apply for a license could now be entertained.
