Kris Aquino, amid her health struggles, got a much-needed glam boost through a new haircut after a minor procedure.
Amid her battles with multiple autoimmune diseases for many years now, Kris Aquino remained strong for the people who love and support her, especially her sons. She has many reasons not to give up, and her treatment continues here in the Philippines.
In a previous article, Kris revealed she stopped breathing during a minor surgery. For two minutes, her lungs stopped functioning. After knowing what happened, although it was hard for her to process, she felt grateful for another lease of life.
After the procedure, she made sure to receive her much-needed glam boost through a new haircut, providing her a new look. Hair and makeup artist Jonathan Velasco took to Instagram to share some snaps of this moment.
He did the makeover during his visit to the Queen of All Media at St. Luke’s Medical Center-BGC, where Aquino is currently staying while on recovery. The post features a clip of Velasco giving Aquino a chic bob haircut while she is dressed in a hospital gown. The actress-host beams as she poses for photos with her longtime hairstylist.
“New hair, same brave spirit. Madam [@krisaquino] is on the mend! Please continue to keep her in your thoughts and prayers as she gets stronger every day,” Velasco wrote in his caption.
In the comments section, Aquino wrote, “I am literally so grateful to be breathing.”

After years of staying in the US, she returned to the Philippines in 2024 and decided to continue her treatment here. Being in the country made her closer to her loved ones, whom she missed dearly during the years she was away for her treatment.
