Korean Cream Cheese Garlic Bread Recipe

CREAM CHEESE GARLIC BREAD – Korean culture has taken the world by storm, especially in terms of culinary inspiration.

From Kpop all the way to Korean dramas, snippets of Korean delicacies has looked too good to resist. As such, we’re going to show you how to create one of Korea’s most popular street foods – Cream Cheese Garlic Bread.

The recipe we’re about to show you is simple enough that you could do it yourself at home with just a few ingredients. Here’s how it’s done:


  • fresh milk
  • sugar
  • dry yeast
  • all-purpose flour
  • salt
  • eggs
  • unsalted butter
  • cream cheese
  • whipped cream
  • minced garlic
  • condensed milk
  • honey
  • chopped parsley

Start by pouring in 110 ml of fresh milk in a bowl. Next, add 2 tbsps. of sugar and mix the ingredients together. Afterward, add 1 tsp. of dry yeast along with 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 tsp. of salt, and 1 egg then mix.

Once that’s done and you have the dough, mix it with your hands for a few minutes or until all the ingredients have been fully incorporated together.

Then, put some flour on a flat surface to prep for kneading. When you place the dough, add a block of 20g of unsalted butter in the middle and knead them together for 5 minutes.

Next, put the dough in a bowl and cover for it to ferment which usually takes about an hour. After this, remove the gas built up inside the dough.

Cut the dough into four pieces and form it into a ball. Afterward, bake the balls at 180 degrees Celsius for 20 minutes.

Meanwhile, for our cream cheese filling, the centerpiece of our recipe, mix 200g of cream cheese, 2 tbsps. of sugar, and 1/4 cup of whipped cream. Once you’re done mixing, it should have a consistency that looks like this:

Next, transfer the cream cheese into a piping bag and set it aside for now. If you don’t have a piping bag, an alternative one using a zip-lock plastic back would do.

For the garlic butter sauce, here’s what we need to do:

Combine 1 cup of melted butter, minced garlic, 2 tbsps. of condensed milk, and mix the ingredients together. Afterward, put-in 1 egg, and 1 tbsps. of honey and continue to mix. Then, put-in chopped parsley.

Finally, grab the bread we just baked, slice it, fill it with cream cheese, and top it with the garlic butter sauce. Repeat this process for the remaining pieces of bread. Once done, bake it again for 5 minutes and voila! You’re done!
