Maja Salvador talked about her decision to transfer to TV5
Actress-dancer Maja Salvador revealed the details of the reason why she decided to transfer to TV5.
For several years, Maja has been part of the Kapamilya network and its talent management company, Star Magic. However, just recently, through her Instagram post, she bid goodbye to her former home network and sad that she will accompany her “tatay”.
She was referring to Johnny Manahan, popularly known as Mr. M, who was also the head of Star Magic. He has also the former director of the ABS-CBN’s Sunday musical variety show ASAP Natin ‘To.
However, Mr. M is now directing the Sunday Noontime Live on TV5 and Maja Salvador is one of the main cast members of the show, based on the article from PEP.
During the recent mediacon held by the Kapatid network, Maja said that she did not regret transferring to another network because she is not just thinking of herself.
“Isang malaking bagay na napa-oo sa akin ay yung makakatulong po ako ng mga kapamilya na nawalan ng trabaho,” she stressed. Nevertheless, she said that she will forever thankful to ABS-CBN, especially ASAP that has been her workplace every Sunday for the past 17 years.
Maja Salvador revealed that one of the main reasons why she transferred was Mr. M. “Since ang aking tatay, si Mr. M po ay talagang naglambing, kailangan ko po siyang samahan. Parang hindi po ako makatanggi kay Mr. M, lalo na via Zoom, sinabi niya, ‘Maja, kailangan kita.’ How can I say no to him?” the actress-dancer shared.
She also pointed out the support and understanding coming from ABS-CBN amid her network transfer.
