Daniel Padilla Admits Having A Hard Time Composing Own songs
DANIEL PADILLA – Kapamilya star Daniel Padilla admitted he’s having a hard time wring his own song.
Lots of musicians would say that writing lyrics are a real struggle. The gifted ones only need an instrument and put their feelings flowing through their fingers in moments then voila there goes their hit song.
Some musicians said songwriting is frustrating because they have to re-write and re-write it until they don’t hate it. Some get a lyric partner to help them get outside their head during the creative time.
Filipino superstar Daniel Padilla is also known to be a recording artist. Among the song he has sung is a cover version of James Brown’s “I Got You (I Feel Good)” and Rivermaya’s “Hinahanap-Hanap Kita.”
During a media conference for his upcoming Apollo virtual concert on Tuesday, the 25-year-old Kapamilya star admitted that he’s having a hard time writing his own songs. “I’ve tried mahirap. Nahihirapan akong magsulat ng kanta,” he said.
Daniel Padilla said that for him, writing songs is not for everyone. He said the talent of composing songs went to his brother Jose Carlito Padilla. Despite this, he said he still tries to write his own song.
“I think kasi ang pagsusulat ng kanta, well para sa akin, hindi rin siya para sa lahat. Yung pagsusulat, napunta yung talent na ‘yun sa kapatid ko, kay Carlito.”
“Ako, nagta-try ako. Naliligaw lang ako kung paano ko isusulat, saan ako magsisimula. Mas more on sa paggawa ako ng melody or music behind the lyrics,” he explained.
Daniel Padilla’s virtual concert is set to premiere this coming Sunday, October 11. You can buy tickets exclusively at ktx.ph for PHP499.
