BORACAY TOURIST UPDATE 2020 – Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Boracay, the premiere tourist destination was closed to prevent the spread of the virus.

But, as major areas in the Philippines have lowered quarantine restrictions, the government has decided to reopen Boracay. Still, it needs to be noted that the country is still facing a pandemic. As such, several rules and guidelines have been imposed for tourists going to Boracay.

First, tourists must access this link: http://aklan.gov.ph or https://bit.ly/2QzbUkZ and click “Online Health Declaration”. Then, choose Boracay in the “Where To” Page. Following this, fill out the required fields and click submit.

After submission, a confirmation with instructions will be displayed. Save the copy of the confirmation of the HDC on your phones or have them printed. Next, attach the copy of the HDC along with the RT-PCR Negative Result, a copy of the confirmed booking slip/ form of proof of identification, and sent it to [email protected].

Wait for the email response from the Final Validator to see if your confirmation was successful or unsuccessful. Processing would take less than a day after receipt of complete documents.

If successful, a copy of HDC with a tourist QR code would be sent back. Simply present this HDC with Tourist QR code to the authorities in the borders for scanning.

However, if the processing was unsuccessful, resubmission of requirements or further clarification may be required.
