Shooting for Avatar 2 has been completed
AVATAR 2 – Yes, it is coming to theaters! The sequel of the popular sci-fi movie directed by James Cameron has finished shooting.
The first Avatar movie was released in 2009 but the preparation for this took more than a decade. It is because Cameron’s vision for this science fiction movie’s technology was not yet available at that time.
When it was released, the movie received overwhelming feedback as was hailed as the highest-grossing film of all time. However, this title was taken by The Avengers: End Game in 2019.
Based on the report from Fox News, James Cameron shared an update about the sequel of his hit movie. “We’re 100% complete on Avatar 2 and sort of 95% complete on Avatar 3,” he said.

The sequel was initially planned to be released next year, however, due to the pandemic, the shooting was delayed. After the lockdown, the production returned to filming in New Zealand.
It was also said that during the 2020 Austrian World Summit, Cameron talked to actor Arnold Schwarzenegger regarding the Avatar movie.
On the other hand, the director did not give a hint to the viewers and excited Avatar fans of what could be expected in the sequel.
Avatar 2 is set to be released in theaters on Dec. 16, 2022, while the third sequel will be available on Dec. 20, 2024. Based on the report, two more sequels are coming up and these will be released in 2026 and 2028.
This 20th Century Fox movie features Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Stephen Lang, Michelle Rodriguez, and Sigourney Weaver.
