Mayor Treñas Slams FDA Teddyboy Locsin Over False Accusations
Iloilo City Mayor Jerry Treñas slammed Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro “Teddy Boy” Locsin Jr. over criticisms hurled on Twitter.
Iloilo Mayor fires back at the criticisms of the Foreign Affairs secretary in a tweet, which describes the politician in a bad and undeserved light. Locsin said in now deleted tweet, Treñas is blaming “pasaway residents for the lastest spike of COVID-19.
“How come Treñas can blame constituents of carelessness, of being pasaway—that ugly word— and get away with it? Because of opposition hypocrisy.” Locsin said in a September 27 tweet.
According to the report Manila Bulletin, this comes when Treñas said that some of his constituents had become careless amid the public health crisis. As a result, this becomes the reason for Iloilo City being placed under modified enhanced community quarantine.

Meanwhile, Mayor claps back and claimed that his accusation is not true. He said he had never blamed his constituents for any shortcomings in the city’s efforts to fight the pandemic.
“This Teddy Boy Locsin is full of sh-t. Unfortunately, here in Iloilo City, we will not allow him to give us sh-t. He should give it to himself and eat it,” an irritated Treñas said in a Monday morning interview with Bombo Radyo Iloilo.
He also slammed the Foreign Affairs Secretary while using additional profanity words in the Hiligaynon language. “Wala na siya pulos nga sekretaryo. Daw naka drugs na siya (He is a useless secretary. He is like high on drugs,).”
“Who is he? What has he done to the city? What has he done to the country? He has not done anything [that merits he can dictate us],” Treñas added.
The Iloilo Mayor also challenged Locsing to come to Iloilo City to have a fistfight. As of now, the secretary hasn’t released any statement yet for response on Mayor Treñas backlash to him.
