Chinese nationals were brought to the precinct but also returned to the establishment because there was no place for them to be detained. According to Makati City Police chief Oscar Jacildo, the Chinese nationals reasoned that they were “bored” so they go out.

The violation ticket was just issued to the Chinese with a fine of one thousand pesos each for the first violation of the social distancing rule. Their IDs have been confiscated and can only be returned to them once they have paid the fine.

The manager of KTV Bar and Restaurant declined to give a statement. The establishment may be temporarily closed or permanently stop their operation, depending on the outcome of the ongoing investigation.
