Student Victimized by Online Shopping Scam After Receiving Stones Instead of Laptop

A disappointed student expresses fury after victimized by an online shopping scam when the laptop ordered online exchanged with stones.

Nowadays, several customers of online shopping platforms have air disappointment on social media as they received wrong items. Others share fake brands, wrong items, damaged items, and worst is replaced items.

As online shopping becomes in demand due to the global pandemic, several customers have also been victimized by scammers. Customers suspect courier companies while others blamed the sellers.

Meanwhile, a student who was also victimized by an online shopping scam air disappointment online. In a report of RMN Iloilo, a student named Arthur Baylon, 20, was shocked when he opens the parcel delivered to his home.

According to the report, Baylon orders a brand new laptop worth 23, 699 in Lazada, which to be used for an online class. But when he opens his parcel, he received three pieces of rocks instead of laptops.

Baylon said, he used his Lazada wallet and not cash on delivery because it was difficult to get back what he paid. At 9:00 in the morning when Ninja Van delivered his order and he never expected to fall victim to the scam.
