Charlie McDowell makes Lily Collins officially off the market as he finally proposed to her.
LILY COLLINS – “Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile” star Lily Collins is finally engaged to writer/director Charlie McDowell.
“I’ve been waiting my lifetime for you and I can’t wait to spend our lifetime together…” says Lily Collins in an Instagram post officially announcing her engagement with writer/director Charlie McDowell. She also shared some snaps of them during and after the intimate proposal and a close-up of her unique ring. And they were flooded of messages congratulating them.
Expressing his love for his 31-year-old future wife, the director also shared on his Instagram: “In a time of uncertainty and darkness you have illuminated my life. I will forever cherish my adventure with you.”
Lily showed her rose-cut diamond with a bezel setting and thin gold band. According to an article from Insider, Ajay Anand founder and CEO of the diamond search engine Rare Carat, the piece of jewelry costs between “a couple thousand dollars and $100,000.”
He said, “First, this is a nontraditional engagement ring — an unusual choice for a celebrity. It’s a cushion-shaped stone in a yellow-gold bezel setting, with an open-back cut so you can see through to the skin.”
Taking a closer look, he said that if it is a diamond, it has a retail value of $50,000 to $100,000 and if it is quartz, it would cost less than $5,000. To recall, it was last August 2019 when rumors about their relationship started. And over a year later, they got engaged.
