The law does not allow filing of candidacy to be done online but Comelec Executive Director Bartolome Sinocruz said that the poll body is considering this already due to the situation of the country. The Philippines’ next presidential elections will happen in May 2022. Meanwhile, amid the pandemic, countries like Sri Lanka, Belarus, Singapore, and South Korea have successfully held elections.

Now, with the proposal to postpone the elections in our country, several celebrities expressed their objection about this pushing the people’s right to vote and if many of them are not afraid to go out to see the Manila Bay White Sand, the more they shouldn’t be afraid to go out and vote for the future of the country.

Check out their comments below:

Kean Cipriano: Why not try to just focus on finding solutions to get us out of this pandemic instead of postponing the 2022 elections.

Jason Abalos: Bilang legislators kailangan nyo sundin ang constitution. Tapos sila lalabag? Aba mahusay 🙂

Nikki Valdez: Nope. Di nga natakot magpapicture sa pekeng white sand nung nagbukas eh. Bumoto pa kaya?!

Gretchen Ho: Sinong takot? Not me.

Mikoy Morales: Takot lumabas ang mga tao para bumoto? Nah. Takot SILA na lumabas ang mga tao para bumoto.
