Surely, this was a milestone for the entire animation community in the Philippines. As such, KevinKalbo appealed to the public on Twitter saying:

I’ve worked on this awesome film. Please don’t judge it by its VA. He doesn’t represent the movie as a whole. Thanks!

Furthermore, he said that if it were up to him, Robin would be auto-ejected from the project. However, he explained that he was merely one animator. Afterward, he asked the public to support the artists behind the film as they were the real stars of the project.

“Kung ako lang ang masusunod i-auto-eject ko na yun agad-agad. But alas, ako’y isang hamak na animator lamang. Support the artists who have worked hard on this project. Sila naman ang totoong bida dito”

Hayop ka would be available for streaming on Netflix starting October 29. The film features adult themes not usually portrayed in Philippine cinema. As such, netizens have long awaited this new breed of Filipino film makers, animators, and story tellers.
