Here’s what Arnold Clavio said about the speech of Pres. Duterte
Kapuso journalist Arnold Clavio commended the speech of President Rodrigo Duterte during the United Nations General Assembly.
Clavio is one of the prominent personalities in the Philippines when it comes to news and current affairs. He is one of those who vocally speak what’s on their mind and their opinions about certain issues in the country.
Previously, he criticized a statement of the Chief Executive. Duterte said in one of his press briefings that the county now lacks budget amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
This did not sit well with the Kapuso journalist as he questioned the statement of the president. He even showed a breakdown of the financial assistance that the Philippines received.
However, after the speech of President Duterte in the UN General Assembly, Arnold Clavio has positive feedback. He also encouraged his fellow Filipinos to unite even within just for a single moment.
“Anuman ang kulay politika mo, isantabi muna. Balikan, pakinggan at namnamin ang naging talumpati ni Pangulong Duterte sa harap ng iba’t ibang lider sa United Nations General Assembly,” he said.
The Kapuso journalist particularly cited parts of Duterte’s speech about the COVID-19 pandemic, his message to the frontliners, and the issue regarding the South China Sea/West Philippine Sea.
Duterte urged that whenever a vaccine is already available it should be shared all over the world. He also lauded the efforts and sacrifices of all the frontliners.
When it comes to the issue of the South China Sea/West Philippine Sea, the President said, “The Philippines affirms that commitment in the South China Sea in accordance with UNCLOS and the 2016 Arbitral Award.”
Then, Arnold Clavio lauded whoever the person who made the speech of Pres. Duterte. “Kung sinuman ang gumawa ng kanyang speech na ito, napakaganda ng pagkakasulat. Klaro. Malinaw. Mararamdaman mo na kay sarap maging Pilipino. Mabuhay!!!” he said.
