Catriona Gray Files Libel Suit Against Bulgar Over Spreading Fake Photos

Miss Universe 2018, Catriona Gray files libel compliant against Bulgar editor and writer for spreading her fake undressed photos on social media.

In a previous article, there was a controversial “nude” photo of Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray circulating online. However, she denied the allegations and claimed that the photos are fake.

As a result, she decided to formally file a complaint last July to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI)  against the uploader of the fake photo. She revealed that the tabloid Bulgar was the culprit behind the spread of her fake photos.

And now, according to the report of PEP, Catriona Gray is determined to defend herself against the alleged slander of her by the tabloid Bulgar. The international celebrity has filed a single libel complaint against Bulgar editor Janice Navida and writer Melba Llanera.

It is said that the celebrity was deeply hurt and embarrassed by the tabloid article that said he had “nude photos.” She then demanded a public apology from them and Php 10 million for the damages.

Catriona also complained to Navida of a number of cyber libel. Navida allegedly posted on the Facebook page of Bulgar an interesting teaser for the tabloid article.

“After ng bantang pasabog ni Clint… NUDE PHOTOS NI CATRIONA, KALAT NA! OMG!!! Basahin ang detalye sa INSIDER ni Melba Llanera bukas, Linggo. Bili na ng Bulgar para lagi kang updated!!” said on the caption of the controversial post.

Friday morning, September 18, Catriona personally went to the Department of Justice in Quezon City to submit and swear her statement. She was accompanied by his talent manager Erickson Raymundo and legal counsel Josabeth “Joji” Alonso.

This controversy regarding her fake photo has done some tainting to her reputation. As per her lawyer, the “malicious, defamatory, and libelous” content from the said tabloid has done “immeasurable damage” to the beauty queen.
