And now, she has a new book called Troubled Blood under her alias Robert Galbraith. This created a buzz online and was heavily criticized due to its transphobic plot. This is not the first time that the author got herself involved in matters about transgenders as she was called out several times for making comments and posts against them.

The book is the latest installment of her Cormoran Strike detective series. It is accordingly the story of a cisgender man who wears dresses and kills women and the internet just seemingly couldn’t accept this. Jake Kerridge writes in his review, “One wonders what critics of Rowling’s stance on trans issues will make of a book whose moral seems to be: never trust a man in a dress.”

#RIPJKRowling also trended on Twitter with comments lambasting the author. The second installment of the series, “The Silkworm”, was also criticized as it focused on her depiction of a trans woman.

Others said that it has the same plot to “Dress To Kill”. Also, another Twitter user called her out saying, “JK Rowling, if you’re going to write a book with backwards views like #TroubledBlood, stand by your convictions and avoid using your “Robert Galbraith” pen-name.”
