Julia Barretto reacted to the controversies she went through in 2019
Actress Julia Barretto was asked about the 2019 controversies that happened to her and here’s what she said about this.
2019 was a tough year for many showbiz personalities and one of them who went through a lot last year was Julia. To recall, her onscreen team up with Gerald Anderson for the movie Between Maybes became controversial.
Julia and Gerald were accused of cheating as the public knew that the latter was in a relationship with Bea Alonzo. Is a previous report, Gerald mentioned about his “2019 pandemic”, however, he did not directly say if it was the controversy involving him, Julia, and Bea.
Aside from the rumored relationship with Gerald, Julia’s breakup with ex-boyfriend Joshua Garcia also created a loud buzz. The young actress also got involved in the controversy between her mother Marjorie Barretto and aunt Gretchen Barretto.
In line with these issues, Julia Barretto said, “Hiyang-hiya naman ako sa mga taong nawalan ng trabaho at wala nang makain.” Based on the article from Bandera, this is what the actress feels if people would ask how she handled the 2019 controversies.
“It’s like there are more people we should be asking that question because of the way they just survive things, especially now just watching what other people are going through,” Julia stressed.
She also said that there are a lot of people who went through tougher problems than what she went through. For the actress, there is still more to happen in her life as she just 23 years old now.
Julia Barretto said, “For me, at that time, okay this is the battle I’m facing now but you just gotta get moving until the next one. It’s not the end of the world last year.”
