Forty RMFB Officers Sent To Bacolod City For MECQ Enforcement
BACOLOD CITY – Forty policemen from the Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB) were sent to Bacolod City to aid in the enforcing MECQ there.
City Police Office spokespoerson Lieutenant Colonel Ariel Pico reported that the augmentation teams were deployed on Wednesday (September 9) in the 35 outer and inner border checkpoints in the capital of Negros Occidental, accoding to a report from Panay News.
The RMFB were previously assigned in Moises Padilla, Negros Occidental before their deployment, Pico added. He also reminded the transportation sector that police officers will strictly implement Executive Order No. 60, which was issued by Mayor Evelio Leonardia which enforces the modified enhanced community quarantine, the second strictest lockdown.
Based on the report, among the provisions in EO No. 60 include the prohibition of public transportation amid the second strictest lockdown.
Western Visayas or Region VI has about 6,632 total cumulative confirmed cases as of Wednesday.
Among the cases include 126 in Negros Occidental, 109 in the said capital, 11 in Iloilo City, three in Ilolo province, and one in Guimaras.
Bacolod City, as well as and Negros Occidental were urged by DOH7 to closely monitor their COVID-19 positivity rate.

Positivity rate refers to the fraction of tests that come back positive. The metric is calculated by dividing the number of positive tests by the total number of tests. Lowered test positivity rate is considered good.
The depoartment also advised local authorities not to be solely fixated at the number of COVID-19 positive cases as basis if it is already alarming or in a dangerous level.
