Megan Young and Mikael Daez almost got separated

Megan and Mikael are among the celebrity couples who have years of togetherness as their foundation before tying the knot. For a decade, fans have been admiring their love and affection for each other.
However, just like normal couples, the Kapuso stars also went through some difficult times. Based on the article from Bandera, in the recent podcast of the couple, they revealed that they almost ended their relationship.
The reason behind this conflict was Megan Young’s “clingy” attitude that went beyond the normal, Mikael Daez revealed. “I literally made you my world,” the beauty queen admitted.

“She was losing herself. She’s sacrificing herself, her own personal growth for our relationship, and that didn’t sit well with me. I wanted Bonezy (tawag niya sa asawa) to grow individually,” Mikael elaborated.
The actor also shared that there was a time when Megan went to the gym and just waited for him in a corner without doing anything. This “attitude” of Megan went to the point that she was no longer able to hang out with friends and family.
She wasn’t even doing things for herself anymore. “I saw Bonezy as someone in the future who I didn’t want to be with, because she wasn’t growing independently or as an individual. That was the closest of us breaking up,” Mikael added to what his wife said.
The actress also said that her now husband hasn’t seen the Megan he used to see when they were dating. With this, Mikael explained that there are three elements in a relationship.
The actor explained that “you”, “me”, and “relationship” are three different entities. He added that if one is not properly taken care of, the balance will no longer be there.
“During the lowest of our lows, I think being able to converse and persevere, that’s our way of keeping the fire burning,” the husband of Megan Young explained.
